In order to study off-campus, students must meet the following requirements:

  • 必须完成大一的学业*

  • Must be in residence (meaning taking classes at UHart - you don't have to be living on campus) the semester prior to going abroad

  • 学业成绩良好:累计2分.5个GPA或更高**

  • Be in good student conduct: cannot currently be under any sanctions

  • Be in good financial standing: cannot have any current registration holds or bursar restrictions

*first years cannot participate on semester programs, but can participate on some of the UHart faculty-led short-term programs.

申请过程

第一步:留学101课程

Students must attend a 出国留学 101 session.  视频正在更新中, so, 现在, 请亲自或通过电子邮件参加会议 uhabroad@goudounet.com 安排一对一的会话.  Once you’ve attended the 101 session , you can then 安排约会 与国际中心.

第二步:提交申请
The 国际 Center is partnering with Via TRM, 留学平台, 立博体育官网我们的申请流程.  您需要创建一个 平台免费账号.  从那里, 你会看到可用的程序, and can begin your UHart application through Via TRM.  Once you’ve chosen a program, you will click on that program, and begin the application.  你必须选择一个项目; you cannot begin a UHart application without having chosen your program.

Step 3: Complete Supplemental Application Forms 

After you’ve submitted your application through Via TRM, you will be asked to submit your Passport Information and your completed 出国留学 Course Approvals through Via TRM. These will be due a few weeks after the application deadline and are not considered part of the initial application but are required prior to you going abroad. 

In addition to completing the UHart application, you will also need to complete application materials for your chosen program provider or host institution.  The program applications usually include their own application, 个人陈述, 官方成绩单, and possibly one or more letters of recommendation (depending on the program).  You can order the transcript through your 自助服务 account.  You should check with your program to see if they will allow an electronic copy of the official transcript or an unofficial copy, or if you have to submit  paper copy of the unofficial transcript.  It takes a few business days to process, so please don’t wait to order a transcript.  Those application materials are specific to each program, so it’s important to double check with your program provider or host institution (if going abroad on an exchange or direct enroll program).

Before you apply to a UHart 教师-Led Short-Term program, please:

  • 请访问我们的新节目网站 http://hartford-education-abroad.via-trm.com/, create your free account, and explore our short-term faculty-led programs. 
  • Attend one of the short-term programs information sessions
  • Speak with the faculty member leading the program or the 国际 Center to have your questions answered

Please submit the following forms to be considered for UHart 教师-Led Short-Term study abroad if you are a UHart student:

  • Complete the 在线申请 listed under the specific short-term program on ViaTRM

  • 付1000美元的定金

支付指令

Payments can be made directly on campus at the 学生成功中心 (CSS, formerly SASC) or online through the 自助服务 Center’s CASHNet system. 国际中心无法处理付款. 如果你想在校园里付款, 立博体育官网接受现金支付, 个人支票, 钱的订单, 或CSS的旅行支票.  Please make checks payable to the 立博体育官网.  When paying your deposit at CSS, ensure that your payment is applied to "校外学习押金."

如果你想在网上付款, the 立博体育官网 accepts E-check and credit card payments online through the CASHNet site on the 自助服务 Center Account. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  There is no fee to make payment using the e-check, but credit card payments are made using CASHNet SmartPay, 并将收取2英镑的服务费.交易金额的75%.  When making a payment online through the 自助服务 Center, login to the system:

  • Select the "Make Payment" link at the top of the page

Once you have been accepted, please submit the following forms:

  • You will work with 转移 入学s to complete their Permit for 转移 Credit form to get your courses approved for transfer credits

  • You will apply directly to the program of your choice, and do not need to apply to the UHart 国际 Center

  • Once you've been accepted by the program provider, you will pay the program provider directly for all program-related costs (you may be able to secure financial aid by working with the UHart 金融援助 Office).
